Best-practice
Conservation Management

Welgevonden believes private reserves have both an opportunity and a responsibility to protect South Africa’s biodiversity. Its conservation management team supports ongoing conservation research and develops leading-edge technologies to address the challenges of large-scale landholdings.

Guided by the Welgevonden Scientific Advisory Committee, and supported by its membership and board of directors, Welgevonden is recognised as a leader in conservation management.
